How to crush it on a Monday

Do you hate Monday?  Is it hard to show up and get going? Have you ever asked yourself why?

Hmmmmmm.  Think about it.

It usually stems from some level of dread; job, drive time (pre quarantine), less weekend fun, anticipated stress, being around people you have to tolerate because you get paid to, etc. Most of these negative or dread feelings can be controlled by You.  Yes, its an attitude and a choice.

Be different. Be the person who is happy about Monday.  If nothing else, you are alive and have an opportunity to do something good.

I don’t mean act like a Pollyanna with rose glasses and everything is super. I mean be aware of your reactions, feelings, and attitude toward each moment, and choose how you want to react or behave.  It’s up to you to ‘be’ happy, joyful, productive.

If you are in a slump, take a step back from yourself and focus on helping someone else. This is massive healing and refocuses action.

Give it a try.  It can be anything.  – send someone a text or email just to say “Thinking of you, have a great day”, or bake something delicious and drop off to a friend.  Try it it’s amazing.

You don’t have to be perfect, just show up and get going, no judgment. Give yourself a high five for getting up and getting after it.  Check your attitude and adjust on the fly as needed. 

After you show up (have your coffee), tell yourself how much of a rock star you are and crush it today!
