3 tips to stay on track with your Summer health and wellness

As we are fast approaching summer, there are lots of things going on which throw us off schedule and maybe out of our healthy routine.  Here are three tips to stay on, or start, to focus on your health.

1) Make time for YOU!  – with camps, driving, work, etc. we often forget about ourselves or we run out of energy at the end of the day.  Put a short meeting on your calendar every day for YOU – and stick to it with no excuses.  20 minutes give or take for yoga, fitness, walking, meditation, whatever charges your battery, and keeps you grounded.

2) Keep your food handy – Keep grab and go food available in your fridge to keep you on your eating plan.  Pre-pack salad, P3 snacks, fresh fruit, extra chicken or meat from the prior day, carrots, etc. — If you open the fridge and have nothing you are likely to go out and grab fast food.  If you have a snack or meal always prepared, you will be successful! All the grocery stores now have super great healthy and delicious food for the active lifestyle.

3) Include your friends and family – As our group knows, with other friends, family, or accountability partner checking on each other, it makes the journey more fun, and without question more successful.  Get a partner or group to text every day.  A few of us currently send a quick text of ‘Done” when we complete our daily exercise.  You can do the same with good eating or other goals.
Include a couple of these tips and let me know how they are working for you.
