How Adele was able to lose 40 pounds

If you didn’t know, Adele lost a significant amount of weight—about 40 pounds.  She looks amazing, in case you haven’t seen her. Just because she’s famous, doesn’t mean she didn’t struggle to lose weight—just like you and me. She struggled. Her weight fluctuated and I am sure, at some points, she was ready to give up.

But she didn’t—and now she’s 40 pounds lighter and looks stunning.

This is just how important nutrition is.  She followed a strict nutrition plan and was able to drop the weight.  It wasn’t easy by any means. But, once she dialed in her nutrition, she was able to lose the weight.  You may be wondering what you and Adele have in common…

If you dial in your nutrition, then you may be as successful as Adele has been in losing weight. So, let’s get back to YOUR nutrition—and what you need to change for better results.

1. Healthy Fat—Yes, Please.
Fat is an integral component of every single cell in your body.  Your body, your cells, and your brain need fats to function at 100%.  Including healthy fats may also satisfy your hunger, keeping you from eating more.
Balance your fat intake for the day (1/3 from saturated fats, 1/3 from monounsaturated fats, and 1/3 from polyunsaturated fats) with healthy fat sources including walnuts, almonds, olive oil, coconut oil, and fish or krill oils.

2. Eat More Fruits and Vegetables
Fruits and vegetables are filled with micro-nutrients your body needs for better health.  Fruits and vegetables also have plenty of fiber, and are relatively low in calories—so they are both filling and won’t add too much to your total daily caloric intake.  You should get 5 to 10 combined servings of fruits and vegetables each day.

3. Make Smart Choices When Drinking
What you drink also makes a big difference in your weight loss.  Drinking juice, milk, coffee or tea with cream and sugar, or soda means a lot of calories in one sitting.  By switching those higher-calorie drinks for water—or even green tea—could make a big difference in your health.   You’re also flushing your body of toxins that could limit your ability to lose weight.

If you can implement these simple nutrition strategies, you’re going to be well on your way to losing weight–and keeping it off.
